Yo Maps Biography & Quick Facts
Elton Mulenga is a music producer, singer and song writer better known by his stage as Yo-Maps. He is the man of the moment today, with numerous hits raving the radio charts and streets.
Yo-Maps rose to prominence as a musician after unveiling a smash hit “finally” and has been making massive impact since.
Music History
While at Chibombo High School Yo-Maps developed interest in music in 2008. The inspiration came from His father Muyunda Mundia, then other local musians including Afunika and Nigerias renown artist Davido. And in the year 2018 of October, Yo-Maps unleashed Finally with Macky 2, the song regarded as one of the biggest sound tracks in the country. When on to winning more than two awards at the just recent Zambian awards show Kwacha music awards. Feature Macky II on the song because he strongly felt that the former Big Brother Africa housemate will add a unique touch. And amazingly the song did match with Macky 2’s unique touch in terms of how I organised the beats and instruments, and everything.
Yo-Maps actively sends out a message of governance and an activist who is working with BBC Community Media, Restless Development and Kabwe News Centre (KNC) Radio on the Ishiwi (My Voice) governance project.
Under this project, he has done a song alongside DRIMZ, B’Flow, Splash and Trip Cezo. The song urges young people to participate in the governance of the country.

His Girfriend
The Zambian thriving musician Yo-Maps, is not known for his charming alot of girls but has yet proven to only have one Girlfriend, Mwizukanji. After he posted a picture on Facebook with the girlfriend, the post raised mixed reactions from his fans and rumours sparkled on social media from some people criticizing his choice of a lady. Many claimed, “He could have made a better choice considering the beautiful ladies that the handsome Zambian artist managed to woe with his great talent and looks”.
I sencerely do not understand why people would choose who one should date or be with? To air out his thoughts and feelings, Yo-Maps been creative and talented decided to put it all in a song tagged “Choice Yanga”. Meaning its my choice to be with whom I want, and not yours…
Cars and Luxury
Yo-Maps owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class model for a car and acknoledged God for blessing him with such a ride and looks foward to purchasing more in time. According to a close friend of him, he is currently building flats and a house this been a reason why he did not go for a big luxury car like many artists. Moroever the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the perfect first luxury car for someone looking to break into the segment. While not Mercedes’ most expensive option, it still packs a lot of elegance into its much more affordable package.
