Mumba Yachi
Yesterday the ruling in a bail application concerning the a matter in which popular musician Mumba Yachi is facing immigration charges was reserved by the Lusaka Magistrate Court. “Mumba Yachi to remain in jail until he acquires a temporal permit allowing him to stay in Zambia”. Said Magistrate Ruth Kapulo said Mumba .
In her ruling yesterday morning she said, ” granting him bail in the absence of permit from the immigration department means breaking the first count he faces of unlawful stay in Zambia”. Matters adjourned to 18th September for a mention and 22 October for the commencement of trial. Mumba Yachi to remain remanded.
